3. Anthony Rendon

Anthony Rendon has always been a great baseball player but he took his talent to the next level in 2019. In his final year in Washington Rendon led the Nationals to their first-ever World Series championship. He had a career year where he finished third place in MVP voting. While he has an above-average glove at first he is a phenomenal hitter as he batted .319 with 34 home runs in 2019. While Rendon may very well be one of the best players in the league there are still two third basemen who are better than him.

2. Alex Bregman

Bregman has probably taken Bryce Harper's spot as the most hated player in the MLB. Not only does he have a cocky personality, but he also plays for the notorious Houston Astros. However, he is still one of the best players in the league. While his defense is not at the level of Nolan Arenado or Matt Chapman, he still flashes the leather well. After a season where he finished 2nd in MVP voting, Bregman has solidified himself as the second-best third baseman in the league.

1. Nolan Arenado

There is no debate here, Arenado is not only the best third baseman but the best infielder as well. He is guaranteed to hit over .300 with 35-40 home runs each season. While he does play at the hitter-friendly Coors, he consistently puts up great numbers each season. Not only is one of the best hitters in the league, but he is also a premier defender at the hot corner. The only third baseman that is better with the glove than Arenado is Matt Chapman.
