Rookie Profile: Luis Robert

The Chicago White Sox has been the definition of mediocrity for the latter part of the 2010s and besides Jose Abreu never had much lasting talent. However, the Sox are quietly starting to build a roster that can sneak into the playoffs and possibly later become a championship contender. They have a very solid lineup that includes Yoan Moncada, Edwin Encarnacion, Yasmani Grandal among others. Another player who can help bolster the Sox's bats is center field prospect, Luis Robert, who has the tools to become a star in the MLB.

Luis Robert is a Cuban born 22-year-old outfielder who is expected to make his MLB debut this season. In just 47 games in Triple-A, last season the promising outfielder put up gaudy numbers as he hit for a .297 average and launched 16 home runs over the wall. While Robert has incredible speed as pitchers always need to be wary of him once he reaches base. Robert can be compared to current Atlanta Braves phenom Ronald Acuna Jr. how also has blazing speed as well as raw power.

What exactly should you expect from Robert? Well, he can very well be the American League Rookie of The Year. There is a talented field this year, as he will have to compete with the talents of Jo Adell and Casey Mize as well however Robert's combination of power and speed is unmatched. He can also be a paramount piece to a young a promising White Sox roster for years to come.
